Each year, a new Board of Directors is elected by the general membership to help guide the association to a successful year.
A dedicated board is able to set aside personal views & differences to work with an open mind to evolve the association to
represent what the general membership truly wants.
The Board is a
“working board”.
The time required is significant and a Board Member must be willing to commit to this when they accept nomination. Attendance at board meetings, participating & management in shows in a working capacity, soliciting sponsorships, promoting membership & NCRCHA programs, in public & behind the scenes, are all in the duties of a Board Member.
Representing the Membership
As a member of this association, the Board represents you. If you have ideas on new programs, ways to improve old ones, want to see new classes added, or any other changes or improvements, be sure to talk with one of your Board Members to let them know how you feel. It is part of their job to bring those ideas to a reality. They want to make this the best association possible. And, by the way, if there is something you really like, or a program that makes you extremely excited to belong to our club, make sure & let them know that, too. A pat on the back for a job well done will keep them working hard for you!

counted for Nonpro or Open All Around.
HERD WORK CLASS will award
for 2008 to the following divisions ran concurrently within the class:
Open Champion, Reserve Open Champion,
NonPro Champion, Reserve NonPro
Champion,
High Point Senior Horse, High Point
Junior Horse.
QUALIFICATIONS
FOR YEAR END CLASS AWARDS
1. Membership dues must be paid on the
owner of the horse and rider before the first class entered. Points do not
count until fees are paid in full.
2. Points are based on the horse & one
rider/one horse combination per individual show day. Riders may be changed on
different show days.(For example, Joe may show the horse all day on Saturday,
& Sue may show the horse all day Sunday, but Joe & Sue cannot show the
same horse on Saturday & have these points count.)
3. Nonpro contestants must have Nonpro form signed
& on file before points will count.(See Standing Rules #7 for Nonpro
definition)
4. All Nonpro riders or immediate family of Nonpro
riders must own horse entered.
5. Minimum of 3
of 5 show attendance required.
6. Point tabulation will be based on the actual score
received in all classes .Points will be cumulative for the year with a
maximum of 4 shows to be tabulated. If 5 shows are attended, the lowest score
class score of the 5 shows will then be dropped.
Example:
Fence work class score would be equal to the combination of the rein work score
& cow work score.
Show 1 (69+72=141
points)
Show 2
(65+70=135 points)
Show 3 (0+72=72points) Show 4 (70+69=139points)
Show 5 (71+70=141points)
The year end cumulative score
for this rider would be 556 points. Since the rider attended all 5 shows, the
lowest score (show 3) is allowed to be dropped (72points).
*In this same example, if
only the first 4 shows were attended, all four would be used for the cumulative
score which then would be 487 points.
7. All year end class awards will be presented
at the year end banquet.
QUALIFICATIONS
FOR YEAR END
ALL AROUND AWARDS
The year end All
Around Open Horse & All Around Nonpro Horse must show in the Herd Work
class & an appropriate Open or Nonpro Working Cow Horse Class.
1. Membership dues must be paid on the owner of the horse
and rider before the first class entered. Points do not count until fees are
paid in full.
2. Open All Around Points are
based on the horse & one rider/one horse combination per individual show
day. Riders may be changed on different show days.(For example, Joe may show
the horse all day on Saturday, & Sue may show the horse all day Sunday, but
Joe & Sue cannot show the same horse on Saturday & have these points
count.) Nonpro All Around Points are strictly one horse/one rider combination.
3. All Around
form designating the horse/rider & which fence class that will be used for
the All Around must be completed prior to first show for points to count. A
rider may enter as many rider / horse combinations as they wish, but an
individual form must be filled out for each. (Limited Classes do not qualify towards Open or Non Pro All Around).
4. Nonpro contestants must
have Nonpro form signed & on file before points will count.(See Standing
Rules #7 for Nonpro definition)
5. All Nonpro riders or immediate family of Nonpro
riders must own horse entered.
6. Minimum of 3
of 5 show attendance required.
7. Point tabulation will be based on the actual
cumulative scores received in the two qualifying classes with a maximum of 4
shows scores.
Example: Herd Work Jr
Working Cow Horse
Judge's Scores
Show 1 65 69+72=141 points
Show 2 60 65+70=135
points
Show 3 74 0+72=72points
Show 4 68 70+69=139points
*Show 5 70
71+70=141points
In this example, where 5 shows were attended, the lowest
score for each class is dropped. (Herd Work Score of 60, & Working Cow
Horse Score of 72.) Year end total points would be 277 Herd + 556 Working Cow=
833 points total. If only 3 or 4 attended, all 3 or 4 scores would be used.
8. Herd Work will
run simultaneously as one class for different divisions.
9. All year end
all around awards will be presented at the year end banquet.

Stallion Incentive Fund
Northern California
Reined Cow Horse Association
|
Purpose: To provide stallion owners a place to promote
offspring & encourage contestants to show their horses to continue in
improving the quality of our reined cow horse association shows & horses exhibited.
The Stallion Incentive
Fund: Stallion owners contribute
$425 annually to the fund. The Fund will be maintained in a separate account
from other association funds & used strictly for this program. The Fund
will be used to:
1.
Advertise the stallions
which participate
2.
Pay incentive funds to
the competing offspring of nominated stallions.
Classes: This is NOT a stallion stakes NOR subscribed stallion
program. The incentive fund payouts will be based on offspring competing that are
eligible only for the current year’s nomination. Offspring by Non-Incentive
Fund Stallions are not eligible to compete. The All Around will be based on the accumulated scores earned in
competition in the Herd Work class & one Working Cow Horse class for the
entire year’s show series. Individual categories of Herd Work, Rein Work, &
Fence Work will be paid out for those offspring competing with the high score
in individual events.
Advertising: The NCRCHA
will do the utmost to promote the stallions that participate. At a minimum,
stallions will be listed in the Cascade Horseman monthly for one calendar year
beginning in January & ending in December & beginning the month the
nominated stallion’s application is received in entirety. These listings will
promote all of the stallions registered with the program and will also give
special recognition to the stallions siring the top finishers in the program
that year. Stallions will also be included on the NCRCHA website
(www.ncrcha.org), with links to the Stallion owner’s website, if available.
Incentive Prize Money: The total
annual amount of Incentive Fund money received will be paid to the top
finishing offspring in the program once advertising & office expenses are
paid.
Eligibility: 2005 is the first year of a multi-year program. The
program requires that a stallion be enrolled annually in the Incentive Fund so
that the offspring will be eligible for that year’s Incentive Fund and
advertising. The stallion siring the top finisher in the program will receive
free enrollment the following year.
Enrollment: Anyone may
enroll a stallion to make offspring eligible. HOWEVER, if someone other
than the registered owner enrolls a stallion, a signed acknowledgement &
release form must be completed by the stallion owner & received prior to
the stallion receiving any advertisement. The registered owner is the owner
listed on the registration papers issued by the appropriate breed association
(AQHA,APHA,etc). If you want to nominate
your show horse’s sire, the $250 enrollment fee allows eligibility into the
program without the advertisement.
Nominations will be taken throughout the entire year, but advertisement will be supplied from January 1 thru December 31 of the year of enrollment.
Nomination
of:
Deceased Stallions
Nominations
will be taken on deceased stallions for a fee of $250 to enable offspring to
participate. This is an annual enrollment fee & may be paid by anyone.
Stallion Incentive Fund Qualifications for Contestants

eligible for paid monies from the 2008 NCRCHA Stallion Incentive Fund Program,
